Come fish and swim as well as play volleyball and horseshoes at Pickerel Park RV Resort, located amid lovely woodlands on the shores of Hay Bay. You can also take in local attractions such as the Glenora Ferry, Canadian Piano Museum and Napanee Golf Club.
For a scenic ride, get onboard the Glenora Ferry and go across the Bay of Quinte. The area is beautiful now, but it will be even more enjoyable when the leaves turn colors. Once you reach Picton, go to the lookout at Lake on the Mountain, which offers a fantastic view of the bay. Admission for the ferry is free. Like the old saying goes, “The best things in life are free.”
Canadian Piano Museum
Located in the Stevenson House in Napanee, the Canadian Piano Museum houses harpsichords, organs and antique gramophones along with an array of pianos. It is a hands-on museum, so anyone with skill is welcome to try out the instruments. The appointment-only tours are nearly three hours long, and the guide is very informative. To make arrangements, call (613) 546-2440 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Napanee Golf Club
The Napanee Golf Club and Country Club is a 9-hole course that involves elevation changes. Its pro shop can provide you with clubs, tees, balls and anything else needed for a round. The fee for a game is $23.
