Plan a vacation at Lafontaine RV Resort, a beautiful setting where you can swim, play sports and hike through forested trails. You’ll also find fun things to do in Penetanguishene as well, such as watching a play in a unique waterfront venue or visiting the weekly market.

Don't miss the fabulous Butter Tart Festival on June 1 in Midland. It's the sweetest day of the year!

Midland will also host Party on the Dock on June 16, when hundreds will gather for music and dancing to celebrate the beginning of summer.

King’s Wharf Theatre

When you’re looking for a night out on the town, we heartily recommend attending a play at King’s Wharf Theatre. A pleasantly rustic building perched next to Discovery Harbor, the theatre is the charming venue for professionally performed plays. The Marathon of Hope: The Musical, an inspiring and uplifting story, will run from June 7 to June 17; and The Million Dollar Quartet, a musical that features the hits of Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash, will run from June 21 to July 15.

Regardless of when you go, you’ll find there isn't a bad seat in the house. The address is 97 Jury Drive in Penetanguishene.

Bayside Market

Every Friday evening throughout the summer, the Bayside Market is held on the shore of Georgian Bay. The weekly event, which starts June 9, is a good opportunity to soak up local culture while browsing through crafts and enticing edibles such as home-baked goods, preserves and honey. Local musicians provide the entertainment. The hours are from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and the location is 8 Owen Street in Penetanguishene.
