Fall has finally arrived at Fort Tatham RV Resort, a fact that means it’s time for football, savory meals and colorful foliage. The Smoky Mountains are calling, so everyone should heed the invitation and come enjoy the season here.
Few things are better on a crisp fall night than a college football game, and you can have this pleasure by attending one of the three home games to be held in the coming weeks at Western Carolina University. The Catamounts will play The Citadel on October 1, Wofford on October 8 and Chattanooga on October 29, which is homecoming. General admission tickets are $15.
When cooler temperatures are on their way, people get a hankering for hearty, spicy meals. Chili is a great favorite, so don’t miss the cook-off at our park.
If you love the vibrant leaves of fall -- and who doesn’t -- you simply must experience this time of year in the Smokies. Because of the amazing diversity of trees in the area, the colors are outstanding. There is no better time to take nature walks, as you can take in deep breaths of cool mountain air, feel the leaves crackle under your feet and feast your eyes on the showy foliage splendor. The delightful aspects of the season will fill your senses to the brim.
