Campers who stay at Willow Lake RV Resort will have a good time exploring the nearby town of Brantford. It is home to the Glenhyrst Gardens and Tearoom, a gem of an attraction that offers an unbeatable way to unwind.

Glenhyrst Art Gallery and Gardens

The Glenhyrst Art Gallery is located in a stately historic home that is the former residence of a prominent local family. It’s set amid a 16-acre park on the banks of the Grand River, which makes it a great destination for a relaxing excursion. You can browse through the art exhibits and then take a peaceful walk through the gardens, savoring the beauty of the flowers, plants and sculptures. The grounds also provide access to the Canada Trail that runs along the river.

Golden Teapot Tearoom

Glenhyrst’s gift shop has been transformed into the Golden Teapot Tearoom. Picture yourself in the former conservatory of the mansion, sitting at a table elegantly adorned with linen, lace, fine china and flower arrangements. Sip fragrant cups of soothing tea sweetened with sugar in the shape of butterflies, served with silver tongs. Partake of delectables from a two- or three-tiered plate that includes finger sandwiches along with freshly make scones accompanied by Devonshire cream and jam. Oh my! Choose from High Tea at $28 per person or Low Tea at $18 per person, Either experience will be golden.
