As Tampa is close by, residents of Spanish Main RV Resort can enjoy some festivals there that are coming up in March – one featuring music and the other featuring pets. The city also has great restaurants, shopping and attractions.
Gasparilla Music Festival
The Gasparilla Music Festival will be held in downtown Tampa on March 11 and 12. Come relax and listen to some of the fifty-five bands representing a variety of genres that will perform on multiple stages around Curtis Hixon Park. It starts at 11 a.m. on Saturday and ends at 8 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $40 for Saturday and $30 for Sunday or $60 for a 2-day pass.
Bark in the Park
On March 25, grab your canine best friend and head once again to the Curtis Hixon Park, this time to attend Bark in the Park. The event is a combination pet festival and fundraising walk that will include pet costume contests and a doggie fun zone, as well as live music by StereoFM. Rescue groups, food trucks and other vendors will be present. Hours are from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and admission is $20.
Brocato’s Sandwich Shop
When you’re in Tampa for sightseeing or shopping, stop at Brocato’s Sandwich Shop, a great place to people-watch and enjoy fabulous food. You’ll find menu items with wonderfully authentic Latin flavors and spices such as the Cuban sandwich and bean soup. The address is 5021 E Columbus Drive.
