Campers Haven RV Resort on beautiful Cape Cod lies in an area rich in historical attractions, probably the most interesting of which is Plimoth Plantation. The park is also in a community that offers entertainment all summer long. Come stay a while and explore this wonderful part of New England.
If you’ve never been to Plimoth Plantation, it is well worth the hour’s drive to see this fascinating recreation of a 17th century English village built by the pilgrims. The inhabitants of the village are costumed actors that portray the actual residents of the original settlement. You can ask them questions about their lives, and they will answer in character.
Free Summer Concerts
Every Tuesday and Friday night during July and August you can attend a free outdoor concert at Aselton Park in Hyannis. The type of music will vary, but will include genres such as rock-a-billy, blues, Woodstock-era rock, folk and more. Bring your blankets and beach chairs, and have a relaxing time listening to the bands in the mild evening air. The hours are 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
When you’re looking for entertainment, it’s hard to beat a Rogers and Hammerstein musical. Every Thursday through Saturday during the month of July, the Cotuit Center for the Arts will present Oklahoma!, a theatrical production that has been beloved since its debut in the 1960s. Hours are from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and the cost of admission is $27 to $30.
