Sherkston Shores’ Last Open House of 2017 Season - Thanksgiving Weekend

Shorter days and cooler weather may be signaling an end to the 2017 season at Sherkston Shores Beach Resort, but it’s also the perfect time to start planning your beach living lifestyle for next year.

On Saturday, October 7th from 10 am – 3pm, we invite you to join us for our last open house of the season. Just 90 minutes from the GTA and 20 minutes from the Buffalo border, Sherkston offers all the benefits of a maintenance free-lifestyle at lakefront prices unheard of elsewhere in Ontario.

Our 560-acre resort has both new and pre-loved homes available for purchase. Choose a home along the sandy shores of Lake Erie or pick a spot surrounded by trees. Whatever your vacation style, you’re sure to find a vacation cottage that suits your family’s needs. End of season also means end of season clearance pricing.

Designed by Canadian manufacturers Northlander Industries and General Coach Canada, park model cottages start at $65,995 and can be customized to fit your lifestyle.

Spacious and bright with plenty of entertainment space inside and outside, new premium cottages start at $69,995 and come fully furnished and feature modern interiors and colours. Double-wides in Quarry Meadows start at only $169,995 and feature two bedrooms, two baths, spacious living room, open concept kitchen/dining and large outdoor eating space on private deck. Fall is a fantastic time of year to experience a different side of Niagara. Enjoy the crisp, cool weather and fall colours, take advantage of fall festivals, visit award winning wineries, explore hiking and biking trails, or just cozy up to a warm evening campfire. So while in Niagara, you may want to take in the sights and smells of the 43rd Ball’s Falls Thanksgiving Festival.

The festival runs October 6-9, 2017 from 10 am – 5 pm daily. Tickets are available at the front gates or online and children 14 and under are admitted for FREE. Event proceeds help to support conservation improvement projects through the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority.

Included in this years lineup of concessions will be warm apple cider, kettle corn, wood-fired pizza, corn roasters to name a few. Local farmers will operate stalls and offer fresh products in the Farmers’ Market, such as delicious apple pies, pumpkin pies, candy apples, fresh fruit, vegetables and fudge.

At the market you will also be able to purchase and sample local VQA wines. Just a couple of the wineries and breweries you’ll be able to taste this year will be Flat Rock Cellars, Silversmith Brewing Company, Bench Brewing Company.

And the fun at the festival does not stop there as there is plenty to do for the kids as well, including rides, face painting, animal exhibits, pony rides, a photo booth, interesting history about the great Canadian pioneer culture and much more.

Although our season at Sherkston Shores officially ends on October 31st, Sherkston Shores’ one-of-a-kind Owner’s Exclusive team is already hard at work organizing our unique programming and resort-wide activities for 2018.

Some of the activities you can look forward to are: ice cream parties, golf cart scavenger hunts, water wagon rides, sandcastle building contests, Friday golf league, adult culinary classes and the resort-famous chocolate bar bingo.
