Whether you’re looking for a vacation spot or a home away from home, consider Red Oaks RV Resort, a wonderful campground in Central Florida. The RV life is good here, as you can fish or join the other residents in the array of activities offered. You’ll also find local attractions in the community such as the ones below

Withlacoochee State Trail

The 46-mile long Withlacoochee State Trail is a lovely area to walk, bike and horseback ride. It connects Floral City, Citrus Springs, Istachatta, Inverness and Trilby, an aspect that provides restaurants to take lunch in and shops to browse. You can access the trail in Floral City, which is five miles from Red Oaks. The pathway is convenient to various parks, one of which is Nobelton Wayside Park, a good vantage point for catching river views. You’ll want to come often and savor the peaceful setting while engaging in exercise.

Florida International Teaching Zoo

A small school that trains aspiring zookeepers, the Florida International Teaching Zoo offers guided tours run by the students. The guides keep the hour-and-a-half tours interesting by imparting information on topics such as porcupine quills and the different kinds of bird feathers. Animal exhibits include parrots, geese, macaws, hyenas, tortoises, monkeys and more; and a tour is a fun way to learn about all the critters and their habitats. The address is 4258 SW 52nd Ter in Bushnell.

Red Oaks

Our Central Florida RV park has many events coming up. One that everyone is looking forward to is the Honor Our Heroes’ Fundraiser on January 18. Other events like quilting bees, socials and bingo games present good opportunities to become acquainted with your neighbors.

Please see our special offers. For more information, call 352-793-7117 or email redoaks@suncommunities.com. We are located at 5551 SW 18th Terrace in Bushnell
