Gulliver’s Lake RV Resort has water access, so you can have a grand time swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. Aside from park activities, you can enjoy the local Sound of Music Festival and visit attractions that offer a safari experience or sporting activities for children.

Sound of Music Festival

Every June, the downtown Burlington area and waterfront are filled with the sound of music. This year’s festival, held on June 11 through 19, will feature a combination of current performers as well as seasoned musicians from decades past. In addition to the free and ticketed concerts, you can attend a parade, street fest and carnival. The event has something for every member of the family.

Confederation Park

Adventure Village of Confederation Park in Hamilton is a great place to take the kids. It is an amusement park that offers miniature golf, trampolines and batting cages along with a camp to mine for semiprecious gemstones. When it’s time to eat, you can picnic at the pavilion or grab a bite at Big Al’s Cook House.

African Lion Safari

A popular destination in nearby Cambridge, African Safari provides views of more than 1,000 animals and birds from around the globe, including majestic lions, exotic llamas and graceful black swans. The attraction includes a boat and train ride as well as a small water park. Admission is $26 for children and $35 for adults.
