Vistas of sparkling blue water surrounded by trees laden with moss await you at Homosassa River RV Resort. The natural beauty and abundant wildlife of the area draw nature lovers like a magnet. In the coming weeks, aside from fishing and other park activities, you can engage in scalloping and attend local Independence Day events.

Scallop Season Opens July 1

Scalloping along the shores of the Crystal and Homosassa Rivers is a rewarding experience. These creatures of the sea can be found under five to six feet of water. The only things you’ll need are a mask, snorkel, a saltwater fishing license and a mesh bag to collect your bounty.

Old-Fashioned 4th of July

On July 4, a 10-mile drive to Crystal River will take you to an Old-Fashioned 4th of July celebration. You can expect to enjoy live entertainment, a parade, games and fireworks. The location is Kings Bay Park, and the festivities start at 5 p.m.

Patriotic Evening

Inverness, a town 20 miles away, will host Patriotic Evening, an event honoring Independence Day on July 3. Head over to Liberty Park to listen to a free concert and watch a fireworks display from a lakeside vantage point. Food trucks will also be available. The gala begins at 6 p.m.

Homosassa River RV Resort

We invite you to stay at our Crystal River RV park. Don’t miss the local fireworks on June 24 and our barbeque on July 8.

Please see our special offer. If you have any questions about our rates or amenities, give us a call at (352) 628-2928, or send an email to homosassariver@suncommunities.com.
