The lush vegetation and sparkling blue waters of Homosassa River RV Resort showcase the natural beauty of Florida. Come savor the peace of fishing from the riverbank or hiking the forested trails nearby. When you’d like to make an outing, the community outside the park offers various enjoyable events.

Ozello Craft Show and Chili Cook-Off

On February 18, a craft show and chili cook-off will be held in Crystal River, which is only a 20-minute drive away. The festivities start at 9 a.m., when you can browse through lovely merchandise made by local artisans. For lunch, plan on eating a savory bowl of chili made by one of the best cooks in the area. The cook-off will offer tastings for $5 or a chili dinner with condiments and a drink for $7. You’ll find the event in the Ozello Civic Association at 10495 West Ozello Trail.

Community Band Concert

The Nature Coast Community Band is a Florida treasure, as the members aspire to play from the heart and give audiences the best possible listening experience. Their Winter Concert is scheduled for March 4 in the Citrus Springs Community Center. It will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and admission is free. The address is 1570 W Citrus Springs Boulevard in Citrus Springs. Getting to the concert involves a 40-minute drive, but it will be worth the effort.

Floral City Strawberry Festival

A special event is coming up on March 4 and 5 – the Floral City Strawberry Festival. Admission is $4 per person over 12 years of age. The location is Floral Park, located at 9530 S. Parkside Avenue in Floral City.
