Even though Disney World is only a short jaunt down the road from Mill Creek RV Resort, the city of Kissimmee offers things to enjoy as well. Here are recommendations for what to see and do when kicking about town.
Kissimmee Lakefront Park
The Kissimmee Lakefront Park is a lovely place for a daily constitutional. The walkway offers views of the rippling water and wildlife, and it’s close enough to the downtown area to check out the local shops. It also has fishing piers and a marina shop for purchasing bait. The quiet peacefulness of the park makes it a good destination for some downtime.
On the first Friday of every month, a classic car bazaar is held on Dakin Avenue. The event, which includes live music, is combined with a food truck bazaar. Hours are from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Kissimmee Valley Farmers’ Market
Head over to the Lakefront Park every Tuesday between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to visit the Farmers’ Market. Aside from fresh and organic produce, it carries raw honey, along with unique jewelry and other handcrafted items.
Mill Creek RV Resort
In addition to the above spots, Kissimmee has Old Town, which is an entertainment area of rides, shops and attractions. Nature and wildlife tours are also available in the area. You’ll find plenty of pleasant pursuits at our RV park near Orlando.
