We invite you to stay with us at Arran Lake RV Resort, which is only a short drive from Owen Sound. Here you’ll find a museum that shows classic movies as well as offers presentations of the beautiful artisanship of the area’s cultures. While you’re in town, you also won’t want to miss the farmers’ market.
Take Me to the Movies
Many of us dearly love watching the classic comedy movies from decades past. Every Wednesday evening throughout the summer, you can enjoy one of these films on the big screen at the Bruce Power Theatre in the museum. Expect to see treasures like The Absentminded Professor or His Girl Friday. Showtime is 6:30 p.m.
First Nation Cultural Demonstrations
Beginning July 5 and continuing through September 1, the Bruce County Museum will host cultural arts demonstrations that showcase the artistic works of the local native ethnicities. You can view the skill and creativity that goes into making dream catchers, beaded art pieces and black ash baskets. The sessions are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Owen Sound Farmers’ Market
Famers’ markets are simply irresistible, and the Owen Sound Market is no exception. It is held every Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 114 8th St E, Owen Sound. Coffee aficionados will especially like the offerings from Kemble Mountain Roastery. You can also pick up some donuts, bagels or pies to take home and have with your wonderful cups of java. In addition, the market has a nice array of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Arran Lake RV Resort
On weekends, we always have something fun to do at our RV park in Ontario. Activities coming up include a pasta potluck, Christmas in July, bingo, rib cook-off and entertainment from a live band.
