Shell Creek RV Resort lies in Punta Gorda, a town with a fabulous hangout called Fishermen’s Village. It’s the perfect place to stroll, shop, dine and watch the sunset.

Military Heritage Museum

Housed within the Village, the Military Heritage Museum carries thousands of artifacts that date as far back as the Spanish-American War. Admission is free, but as the museum says, “the experience is priceless.” A stop here is well worth the trip.

The waterfront merchants are known for carrying unusual items. Shoppers will find gift items and home décor, along with fashions, art and hobby supplies.

Water sports enthusiasts will enjoy the recreation options. Visitors can rent a paddleboard or canoe and take lessons. In addition, the attraction offers harbor tours and eco tours, as well as specialty excursions and sunset cruises.

After shopping and recreating, it’s nice to relax and listen to a free concert. The musicians who entertain represent several music genres.

Before heading back to the park, a great way to cap off a day in the Village is by having a meal in one of the restaurants that feature the area's abundant seafood. Choices range from gourmet fare to casual dining. Some of the eateries have tables outside overlooking the water.

Shell Creek RV Resort

Anglers particularly love our Peace River camping resort because it has a dock from which they can fish for bluegill and bass. Please see our special offers.
