The perks of staying at Pelican RV Resort include fishing opportunities, glorious sunsets and fun festivals. Here are some late winter galas the community offers.
On February 18, head over to the Marathon City Park Amphitheatre for the ALR Coral Head Music Fest. It will feature performances by Molly Hatchet, The Georgia Satellites, Lazy Bones and more. The gate opens at 11:30 a.m. and the music continues until 11 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, and settle back to enjoy a relaxing afternoon and evening. Food and beverages may be purchased onsite.
Marathon Seafood Festival
The Marathon Seafood Festival is scheduled for March 11 and 12, which will be two days of food, music and entertainment. Games will be available for children, and 200 vendors will display arts, crafts, jewelry and other souvenirs.
Sombrero Beach Run
More fun is in the works on March 3 to 5 at the 11th Annual Sombrero Beach Run. The event draws hundreds of circuit runners to participate in a 10k run, 5k run and 5k walk. Like the Seafood Festival, it also involves food, music and entertainment, the three ingredients essential for a celebration.
