Come stay at Sandy Lake RV Resort, so you can visit all the attractions in the DFW area. We especially recommend the fascinating museums that depict Dallas history and the presidency of JFK.

Old Red Museum

The beautiful Old Red Museum chronicles the history of Dallas, tracing the journey from its humble beginnings to its present-day status as a bustling metroplex. Educational, entertaining and inspiring, the depository houses a collection of videos and artifacts that revisit all the stories and events that made the city notable.

It’s open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $7 for children ages 3 to 17. The address is 100 South Houston Street in Dallas.

Sixth Floor Museum

One block from the Old Red Museum, the Sixth Floor Museum is a depository that explores the life, assassination and legacy of President John F. Kennedy. The audio guided tour takes about 90 minutes. This is one of the most interesting attractions in the area.

It’s open on Monday from noon to 6 p.m. and on Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Online Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors, $13 for ages 6 to 18 and $4 for children under 4. The address is 411 Elm Street in Dallas.

Our DFW RV park is a good place to relax between sightseeing jaunts. You’ll enjoy swimming and participating in the planned activities, as well as playing ping pong and billiards. In addition, the area has much to offer such as golf courses, Six Flags Over Texas and Cowboys football games.
