A summer trip to Campers Haven RV Resort will be most rewarding because it’s a great place for enjoying water sports. In addition, interesting attractions like Monomoy Island can be found in the nearby community of Cape Cod.

Birdwatchers and nature lovers will adore visiting the Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge, an untamed space of tidal pools, ocean expanse, dunes and sand bars. You’ll revel in the raw but beautiful scenery while you fish or walk along the beach. Expect birdwatching galore, as the island is a migratory nesting habitat for seabirds, shorebirds and waterbirds.

Take the Monomoy Island Ferry cruise to see the seals that make their abode outside the harbor. The captain provides a fun, entertaining tour that imparts information on area history. You’ll also spot several lighthouses along the excursion route.

Wildflower Garden Tours

The Green Briar Nature Center offers informal guided tours every Tuesday morning. More than 300 plants grow in the one-third acre, which makes it a lovely area to explore. Admission is $5, and the tour time is from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The address is 6 Discovery Hill Road (off Route 6A) in East Sandwich.
