Experience Renewal Amid the Beauty of Lake Michigan

October 10, 2017

By Mary West

Experience the renewal that comes from spending time in nature when you stay at Petosky RV Resort. The onsite tennis court and 9-hole putting course, as well as the nearby hiking, biking, golfing and fishing will revitalize you mentally and physically.

Little Traverse Wheelway

Head over to the Little Traverse Wheelway to bike or hike along a paved trail that boasts picturesque views of Lake Michigan, woodlands and meadows. The path has many roadside parks that provide water fountains and restrooms. Stop at places along the way to shop and have coffee, ice cream or lunch. The length is 23 miles, but you can turn back whenever you start to tire.

Crooked Tree Arts Center

Whenever you’re in the area, drop into the Crooked Tree Arts Center. Located in a former church, the gallery is a peaceful, quiet spot for an outing on a rainy day. It changes exhibits and schedules special events occasionally, so repeat visits are very enjoyable. Admission is free, but donations are accepted. It’s open on Mondays through Saturdays.

On Fridays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Center is the venue for an Artisan and Farmers Market, which is a great opportunity to pick up handmade products and locally grown produce.

The address is 461 E Mitchell Street in Petoskey. You’ll find the market in the Upper Level Carnegie.

Petosky RV Resort

Our RV park lies in an area known as the “crown jewel of Michigan.” Make plans to come quickly, while the fall foliage is at its peak. Restaurants are close by, and interesting shops are available at the Village in Bay Harbor.
