While the winters are long at Craigleith RV Resort, the summers are glorious. The weather is perfect for boating or fishing in Georgian Bay as well as for participating in park activities. In addition, you’ll enjoy the variety of local events and festivities that are held throughout the season. Here are a few things on the calendar.

Charles Dickens’ beloved novel Oliver will come to life at the Sand Castle Thetre in Collingwood on May 13 and 14. This is musical theater at its best. Admission is $20 for adult and $15 for children.

Creemore Vintage Festival

IF you love things from a bygone era, be sure and attend the Creemore Vintage Festival on May 14. Highlights will include vintage clothing, a cycling ride, unusual finds and live music. Shopping buffs will have a good time browsing through the merchandise of independent retailers like Vintage Vera and House of Stitches.

The Great Canadian Songbook

Listen to your favorite Canadian hits on May 19 at Meaford Hall. Downchild and The Legendary Powder Blue Band will entertain. Tickets are $36.

Collingwood Art on the Street

Beginning May 21, you can attend Collingwood Art on the Street, an outdoor exhibit that includes paintings, stained glass, jewelry and more. The hand-painted Muskoka chairs are especially interesting.
