Everyone is excited about Fiesta San Antonio coming up on April 10 to 30. Plan to stay at Travelers World RV Resort, so you’ll have convenient access to this premier celebration that is an extravagant composite of music, food and fun. It includes 110 nonprofit events and raises funds to support many different causes.
Performances will feature all kinds of music, including mariachi and symphony pops, as well as rock, jazz and country. In addition, festivalgoers can attend Dance Kaleidoscope, which is a presentation of classical ballet and contemporary pieces.
The food at Fiesta provides something for every taste. Seafood lovers will enjoy the Oyster Bake, and Cajun food fans can sample fare, such as gumbo, crawfish etoufee and beignets, at A Taste of New Orleans. While the music plays from five stages, vendors will offer fajitas, fried chicken and many other edibles.
Aside from the above, other entertainment options are a part of Fiesta. Carnival at the Alamodome will have a variety of rides. Topping everything off, three fabulous parades are planned that include the Battle of Flowers Parade, the Flambeau Parade and the Texas Cavaliers River Parade.
Here are a few tips to keep in mind. Parking is limited downtown, so you may want to call a cab or take the VIA bus service to individual events. Bring cash because credit cards and checks aren’t accepted for admission tickets. Wear comfortable shoes and cool clothing that is suitable for warm weather.
