Those who stay at Lakeland RV Resort have access to baseball games, musical theater, parks, museums and many other entertainment options. On top of all these choices, we recommend that you add a local event called Dixieland Friday to your list of things to do.
On the last Friday of each month, shops and galleries in Dixieland, a historic part of town on South Florida Avenue, are open in the evening hours. This neighborhood has been described as artistic, eclectic and vintage, so you’re sure to come across some unusual finds here.
Java aficionados will enjoy a neighborhood spot called Concord Coffee. The cafe is decorated nicely and has a serene ambiance. It carries roasters from various locales across the country, including California, Texas, Georgia and North Carolina. You can also order lemonade, tea, hot chocolate and cookies. This is the perfect place to rest and relax when out and about town.
Drop into A Cow Named Moo, an enterprise that makes ice cream sandwiches from scratch. The varieties, such as sweet basil with pine nuts, are definitely gourmet. Choosing a flavor will be difficult, but a popular one is French Toast, a delectable affair of ice cream encased within cinnamon-sugar snickerdoodle cookies.
