Your social calendar will be hoppin’ at Red Oaks RV Resort, but now and then it’s fun to venture out and take a day trip. A mere hour’s drive will take you to places where you can enjoy the flora and fauna of nature as well as varied entertainment. Below are choices to consider.

Busch Gardens

You’ll find Busch Gardens 58 miles away in Tampa, Florida. It is well worth the trip because you could easily spend the day taking in the attractions and shows. The sights are animal oriented and include offerings such as the Bird Gardens, Cheetah Run and Edge of Africa. When you’re ready to sit down and relax, attend one of the shows like Opening Night Critters, a production staring domestic and exotic animals. You could also watch an ice show or a program of musicians performing soul-era tunes. If you’re feeling adventurous, go on one of the rides like the Kumba or Montu.

Cypress Gardens/Legoland

A 62-mile drive will take you to Winter Haven, Florida, where you can savor the lush beauty of Cypress Gardens/Legoland. This horticultural masterpiece combines native plants such as camellias and azaleas with exotic species. You’ll want to take plenty of pictures.

Hillsborough River State Park

Just 54 miles away in Thonotosassa, Florida, Hillsborough River State Park is a ideal spot for hiking, picnicking, fishing, canoeing and kayaking. A day spent in the great outdoors will refresh your body, mind and spirit.

Aside from the above day trips, our Central Florida RV park is 45 miles to Orlando, where you can see the world-class attractions of Disney World and Epcot. We know you'll have a pleasant stay here.
