Daytona Beach RV Resort lies in a city famous for its racetrack. Yet you can find many other things to do in the community, such as going to classic car shows, ballroom dances, farmers’ markets and local festivals. Here are a few suggestions.

Cruisin’ Downtown DeLand

A classic car show is held on third Saturdays in DeLand, a town 25 miles down the road. It includes live music and giveaways and is a good time to shop and dine downtown. The hours are from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., and the location is East Indiana Avenue.

Social Ballroom Dancing

Every Saturday night the Gold Star Ballroom offers dance lessons, and every second and fourth Saturday it hosts dances by the local chapter of a national organization. The charge is $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers. Hours are from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and the address is 3100 S. Ridgewood Ave., Unit 150.

Angell and Phelps Chocolate Factory Tours

Have you ever wondered about the process involved in making chocolates? Angell and Phelps provide guided factory tours that include free samples. The tours last twenty minutes and start at the top of every hour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the exception of the noon hour. The address is 154 S Beach Street.
