The Pioneer Florida Museum in Dade City offers fun classes in card-making and painting, so residents of Citrus Hill RV Resort who enjoy artistic endeavors may want to attend. These sessions are a nice way to unwind while creating something lovely.

The card-making classes are held on the third Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to noon in the main building. Please bring a few family photos for the project. The cost is $15.

Painting-in-the details classes are usually scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the second Friday of the month. Tea and hor d'oeuvres are served. The cost of materials and instructions is $25.

In March, the museum will also have a lecture series entitled “The Way We Worked, Florida.” Interesting guest speakers will give talks on the professions and people that comprise American society. For example, one of the topics will be, “The Life and Work of a Hometown Barber.” Click here for a list of lectures and dates.
