You still have time to see the fall foliage in the Smokies before Fort Tatham RV Resort closes on November 1 for the season. The leaves are just beginning to turn a kaleidoscope of golds, oranges and scarlets, so hurry on over to enjoy the annual show.
Fall’s brisk temperatures and the beautiful mountain scenery will make a camping trip a joy. By day, you can engage in outdoor recreation; and by night, you can savor some family time with hot chocolate and s’mores.
You can depend on the nearby Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts to put out great entertainment. Here are some upcoming shows:
- A Night of Down Home Gospel is scheduled for October 26. It will feature three well-known names in the genre: the Whisnants, the Talleys and Ivan Parker. The show starts at 7 p.m., and tickets are $20.
- On October 27, the center will host a movie and Halloween party. Trick-or-treating and games will begin at 6 p.m., and Hotel Transylvania will begin at 7 p.m. Come in costume. Admission is $5.
- His Last Days is on the agenda for October 28. This production is a musical and live stage presentation of Christ’s last days before His crucifixion. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students.
