Located in Paso Robles, a most picturesque part of California, Wine Country RV Resort is one of the places to stay when you want to drive around and feast your eyes on gorgeous sun-drenched vineyards. Yet the area has attractions other than wineries, such as those below.
Estrella Warbird Air Museum
Housing a large collection of military aircraft and aviation memorabilia, the Estrella Warbird Air Museum offers a very interesting way to spend an afternoon. Listening to the knowledgeable docents will make learning about history fun.
The depository is also home to the Woodland Auto Display, an exhibit of vintage race cars. This area is manned by enthusiastic volunteers who are glad to answer any questions.
Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for children ages 6 through 12. It’s open on Thursdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The address is 4251 Dry Creek Road.
Studios in the Park
Art lovers delight in visiting Studios in the Park, as it displays a kaleidoscope of paintings, sculptures, photographs, jewelry and more. An aspect that makes a visit to the attraction special is that it has artists working onsite, who are available to talk about their work. The galleries also provide classes and workshops, so you’ll have opportunities to try your hand at artistic endeavors.
Admission is free, but a $2 donation is suggested. It opens daily at noon. The address is 1130 Pine Street.
The planned activities in our California RV park include movies, dancing and entertainment in the wine garden. One of our residents’ favorite amenities is Harvey’s Corner, an adult playground where friends can enjoy an evening together.
