March is an ideal time to plan a stay at Austin Lone Star RV Resort, as the city will host quite a few interesting events during the month. Some nice options for visitors include the Zilker Kite Festival, SXSW Festival and Garden Festival, as well as Rodeo 2017 and the Music Awards Show. Below are a few more choices.

Jugglefest

Have you ever watched juggling and thought it would be fun to try? If so, you’ll have the opportunity to learn the basics at the Jugglefest on February 24 to 26. The event involves 20 hours of workshops and games, in addition to a Renegade Show on Friday, when you can demonstrate your skills in front of an audience. It will also include a Public Show on Saturday night that displays circus arts such as juggling feats and tricks with unicycles. The festival will be held at the Texas School for the Deaf, located at 1102 South Congress Avenue.

BBQ Austin

Is there anyone alive who doesn’t love Texas barbeque? Don’t miss the 2017 BBQ Austin on March 3 and 4, when some of the best cooks in the area will participate in brisket, chicken and rib barbeque competitions. It will be held at the Travis County Expo Center.

Texas Independence Day Celebration

March 4 and 5 are the dates of the annual Texas Independence Day Celebration. It will feature old-time music, traditional crafts and food, along living historical presentations and encampments. The gala will provide visitors with a glimpse into Texas life in 1836, the year when the state declared its independence from Mexico.
