The summer is flying by, but Pickerel Park RV Resort still has an array of activities planned for the next few weeks such as a Halloween gala, Cancer Swim fundraiser, movie nights and Family Fest. We invite you to join us and be a part of the fun.
- The Halloween event on August 13 will involve a scary house, trick or treating, prizes for costumes and a dance.
- August 27 is the date of the annual cancer fundraiser. It is an all-day affair that includes a 2-killometer swim, yard sale, silent auction, dunk tank, music and food. In addition, a local hair salon may come and do ladies’ hair for donations.
Do you love classic rock music? If so, you’ll enjoy the TRIOLOGY concert on August 19 at Conservation Park in Napanee. The show starts at 6:30 p.m., and admission is free. All you’ll need to bring is a camping chair.
Hay Bay Church
Napanee is home to Hay Bay Church, which was built in 1792 and recognized as a Canadian historic site. On August 26 to 28, it will celebrate Roots 2016, a festivity that will include the showing of the movie Discovering Emma on Friday night as well as historical displays and demonstrations on Saturday. The crowning event will be a service at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday that consists of an old Methodist hymn-sing along with music by the Salvation Army Band.
