Picture 22 rooms of antiques, furniture and collectables in one building. The owners of Annetta’s Attic have been in the antique industry for over 40 years and definitely need the space to showcase their diverse collections. One themed room that got my attention is known as the “Man Cave” where men seem to gravitate while their wives are browsing. What man wouldn’t enjoy a room with items such as a Lionel Train set, vinyl records and turntables and floor speakers, guitars, alcohol-themed wall art. The military memorabilia includes uniforms, medals, and even gas masks. This is one store the ladies may have to drag the fellas out of!
Get out this winter and enjoy the natural surroundings of the area. Crystal Springs is a 525 acre sanctuary devoted to the preservation of Florida’s natural environment. They provide a wealth of wilderness experiences and environmental education for visitors. It’s located just 3 miles south of Glen Haven. Hillsborough River State Park, located 10 minutes away on Hwy 301, has many adventures in store, including Class II rapids for canoeing and kayaking enthusiasts. If you want to enjoy the park with less physical activities you can rent bikes, go on horseback, or even take a Segway Tour.
From shopping and dining, to recreation and a variety of local events, Zephyrhills offers all the neighborly comforts of a small town and all the amenities of larger communities. An exciting event is the Zephyrhills Annual Pigz in Z'Hills BBQ & Blues festival in January. Check out the classic cars, motorcycles and aircraft, while enjoying the good pork BBQ and live blues music.
“Can you hear me now?” A resounding “YES!” reply the residents at Glen Haven RV Resort where a new sound system is in place in the often-used Rec Hall.
